Jose Antonio Fernandez Carbajal is a Mexican business magnate and the Chairman and CEO of FEMSA, a Mexican multinational beverage and retail company. He was born on April 28, 1952, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education.
Under Fernandez's leadership, FEMSA has grown to become one of the largest and most successful companies in Mexico, with operations in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. The company has diversified into various sectors, including beer, convenience stores, healthcare, and logistics, among others. Fernandez himself is widely regarded as one of Mexico's most influential businessmen.
